MEET THE STAFF

Asia 

Asia Davis has 25 years of Cheer & Dance Entertainment experience. Asia is a highly sought after skills/ technique coach and choreographer within the professional, all star and school markets. She is a former professional dancer/cheerleader, World Champion, International Judge, and for the past 15 years has coached and choreographed teams in the, N.B.A., M.L.B. and A.F.L.  

Paola 

Paola Arteaga is a Miami native that has been cheering since elementary school. She cheered competitive cheer all the way through her senior year of high school and she is an alumni of Top Gun 305. Paola has 10 years of cheer and dance experience and she has coached numerous all star, rec and school programs getting them recognition such as state champs, national champs, international champs, grand champs, the WOW award and  summit bid winners . Apart from coaching, Paola is a Certified Occupational Therapists that works with students within the Miami-Dade Public School system.

Adryan 

Adryan comes to Miami as a Maryland/ Chicago native ! He has been  coaching AllStar & High school cheer for a total of 11 years. Adryans strengths lie in creative stunts, conditioning, tumbling, motions and dance choreography. His dedication, years of training and love for the sport has brought him successes such as 2x County, Regional &  2x State Championships in the high school division to multiple National Championships along North & Mid West region, 3x UsFinal Champion & Summit/the Cheerleading Worlds bids under his belt.Adryan brings his expertise, passion and broad knowledge of the world of cheer to the A1 Athletics Family !

Johnny 

Coach Johnny Vera is our facilities Dance Coach and Administrative Assistant. Growing up in Miami, Johnny started his athletic career with organized youth football until high school where he decided to depart from the sport and pursue a new venture through dance. As a Southwest Miami Senior Alumni, he became the first male in the history of SWHS to join the dance team his Senior Year, as well as becoming Student Council President and Team Captain. After graduation, Vera was scouted and hired by Stars Dance Studio to catch up his technical training, join their competition company, and start a Hip Hop program within the studio. This catapulted him into the Miami industry with credits like: Miami Marlins Energy Team, Premios Juvetud, Premios Nuestro, Sabado Gigante, and more. After 6 years in Chicago, teaching, training and honing in on his movement quality and overall dance skills, as well as running restaurants and his own portrait/fashion photography business;Coach Vera is finally back home in Miami, joining A1-Athletics staff to bring something new to the table. 

Daniela 

Daniela has been cheering for 6 years. She was a high school Varsity cheerleader and recently cheered for MDC for 2 years where she held the title of co captain. She is currently perusing a degree in international marketing management.

Jada 

Jada Garcia has 8 years of dance experience and 3 years of cheerleading experience. She is a former Miami Dade College cheerleader. Apart from cheer, she is currently in school to become a teacher, and to earn her certification in sports management.

Saraiya 

Saraiyah has been dancing since she was 5. For the past 5 years she has been part of her school's Varsity cheerleading program. Saraiyah is her class president and part of the International Thespian Society. 

Hannah

Coach Hannah has been classically trained in Ballet, Jazz, Flamenco, Contemporary, Tap, and Modern dance throughout her 16 years of dance in Miami, Florida. She attended Conchita Espinosa Conservatory of the Arts, New World School of the Arts, and was a part of the Southwest Miami Senior High Illusions Dance Team. During her 7 years of competitive dancing, she received several high score awards for individual solos and group routines. She also had the opportunity to dance alongside Ballet Nacional de España for two weeks in early 2015. She has choreographed for the Southwest Illusions and Devon Aire K-8 competitive dance teams and has worked and choreographed for The Vault Dance Studio and Alihaydee Carreño Ballet School, striving to foster an understanding of technique in several dance styles to the new generation of dancers. She is currently pursuing a degree in public relations, advertising, and applied communications. Alongside her passion for dance, she is rising as an Independent Artist, Hannah Alexandra, in the music industry and has performed alongside artists such as JP Saxe. She is extremely excited to be a part of the A1-Athletics staff and is ready to provide her knowledge and love of dance to the A1 community.
